Carpet
Pro Ltd is a provider of specialist services
to the flooring and upholstery industry in Palmerston North and the Manawatu region. The company
was started in early 2000 offering carpet and
upholstery cleaning and water damage restoration services.
We very quickly saw the need for a range of specialist
services in the industry. We responded with training
and experience in order to offer a quality service
and be in a position to meet the demands of this
void.
Early in 2003 we
shifted our operations from our home double garage
to an
independent warehouse. We found that the storage
facility was accessed on a fairly consistent basis
by insurers and contractors. Over the past few years,
we have moved up to larger premises due to both the
demand for storage and also the growth of the company.
Today we operate from a 200m2 warehouse with extensive
warehouse pallet racking for storage, a dedicated
air tight chamber for drying and deodourising, and
kitchen and laundry facilities for the cleaning of
soot and smoke damaged items.
The
last half of 2003 saw us purchase and equip a dedicated
trailer unit fully fitted out to service the fire
damage restoration market. Based on demand for
our services, this unit has proven to be an invaluable assett. This unit is often seen
around the area at fire damaged buildings supporting
the cleanup staff.
2006 saw the retirement of our original van and carpet
cleaning machine and we replaced that with a new machine
in a near new vehicle. This is an integral part of
our ongoing growth and development plan to enable us
to provide the best service possible to insurers, contractors,
businesses and the general public alike.
We have an ongoing
commitment to the training of ourselves and our staff.
This ranges from in-house through to national and international
training.
